Moss Creek Reception (843) 368-3191

gertswerks@gmail.comA wedding planner called to reserve a painting on site under the pavilion at Moss Creek.
I arrived early and set up a small decorative bench and flanked it with two potted plants. This created an intimate corner where I could sketch the guests in all their finery. Some were too shy to be painted but I was kept busy while friends and family posed. After an hour, the bride appeared with her groom and they sat for me, to the delight of their guests. My assistant photographed the watercolor sketches, and I later posted them on line where the bride ordered some prints. The guests went home with a wonderful memento suitable for framing.

After spotting my unique service in a flyer, a Savannah bride had an idea that set a new standard in sharing. Susan explained that she and her fiance were to be wed in a charming chapel on a coastal island. "Could you paint the chapel in advance? It is so special to us, I would like to surprise my fiance with a watercolor". As I drove down the tree studded dirt road, there was no mistaking it's rustic charm would make a very special painting. Susan was so pleased with our painting she wanted to share it with her guests and the oficiate. We composed a personal note signed by the couple and included it with a wrapped print for each.

The prints made a meaningful and personal gift and with the painting, a great value as well.
